What Makes BaT Special? Here at BaT, we have a passion for track days that is unrivalled in the industry. Our desire to organise the best possible events at Europe's greatest circuits sets us aside from the competition. The combination of Jonny's endless enthusiasm for the hobby and Sarah's exceptional business administration has helped ensure BaT are one of the longest-running car track day companies in Europe. Many of our clients have been attending track days with us since the very beginning and our top 25 members have amassed an impressive total of over 2000 track days between them.
Here's just a few of the other reasons why we think you should choose BaT for your track day:-
Professional events organised by true enthusiasts
BaT is run BY drivers, FOR drivers. Every member of the BaT team is a track day enthusiast and you'll often see one of the BaT staff out on track driving.
We like high quality track time and for this reason, we like to keep the numbers down and the the driving standards up.
Higher prices means fewer cars
BaT consistently have less cars on track at any given time than most (if not all) other track day organisers. It's very simple maths, the circuit hire is the same price to all of the organisers. The more you charge, the fewer bookings you need to take in order to achieve the same profit margin. We are not the budget-airline of the track day world. For cheap thrills look elsewhere. If high quality track time with like-minded individuals is what you're after - look no further. We attract a clientele who are prepared to pay a little extra for more space and clearer track.
Better choice of venues
BaT visit more circuits than any other car track day organiser. Not only do we visit more circuits, we only visit the very best circuits. No other organiser can list Monza, Mugello, Magny-Cours, Dijon, Imola, Nurburgring, Spa-Francorchamps, Jerez, Estoril, Ascari, Portimao, Zandvoort and Zolder. That's on top of the 13 MSA licenced venues we visit this side of the Eurotunnel.
Better selection of dates
BaT run more events per year than any other independent commercial car track day organiser. Giving you, the customer, a wider choice of dates.
An added incentive to control standardsThe fleet of 10 Caterham R300's we run on our track days are self-insured. This means we have at any one point a theoretical maximum of £350k risk circulating the track. No other organiser is exposed to the same financial risk and can't therefore be expected to have a comparable incentive to maintain driving standards to the same level. Additionally, when we (the BaT team) drive our own cars on track - we don't insure them. Like you, we want to drive in a safe environment and by driving our own cars without crash damage insurance it ensures we have the incentive required to keep driving standards high. When we say we have a zero-tolerance approach to discourteous driving - we mean it!
BaT's unique "no-queues" guaranteeBaT are the only track day organiser to offer a "no-queues" guarantee. When we market an event as "open pit lane" that's exactly what we expect you to get. The reduced numbers we operate ensure you won't ever need to queue in the pit lane to get out on track. Next time you spot a track day at half the price BaT are charging, remember there's likely to be twice the number of cars in attendance. Anyone who's done a few track days will know that the biggest cost is not in the track time, but in the cost of consumables, time off work, bribing the wife or husband. To scrimp on the track day fee then spend 15 minutes at a time queuing in the pit lane is a false economy for anyone who values their own time.
Then there's the usual servicesBaT have ARDS registered instructors available at every event. Other services include tyre fitting, mechanical support and professional photographers on all our track days.
Where available (and permitted by the venue) BaT also provide complementary tea/coffee and refreshments.
