Drift Champion

The first of our drift experiences is the Drift Champion course. Taking place around the Tarmac Lake at Donington Park circuit, this is a non-circuit event that teaches you the essential skills needed to become a drift expert.

Once signed in, our chief instructor and drifting experts will deliver a briefing for the day ahead. Following this, one of our professionals will carry out the demonstration run, to show you the course and the skills you will be learning throughout the day. You will then be strapped into one of our drift prepared Caterham Sevens, ready to take centre stage yourself as you enjoy some sideways, tyre smoking fun from the driving seat.

Throughout the morning, drivers will practice their drifting skills, getting to grips with the skills around various courses, guided as always by our professional instructors. Uniquely, we encourage drivers to drift our cars as much as possible, it’s what they do. Make them slide, make the tyres smoke, smell the rubber - it’s incredibly fun and rewarding.

There will be access to our hospitality throughout the day, with a light lunch and all day refreshments provided by our hospitality team. Each person can bring guests to enjoy the day alongside them. Guests can participate in the light lunch for a fee of £15 each, or come along purely as a spectator for just £5 each.

After a light lunch, our team will unveil our super drift course, compiling different elements from the day to give drivers time to hone their skills, before the ultimate challenge to find Caterham’s Drift Champion.

Become Caterham’s Drift Champion

Once the practice has finished, the Caterham Drift Champion challenge will begin. Our most challenging drift course will be set up and you will drive two practice laps to discover the course.

Finally, it’s time for the high-pressure judged lap where our pro-drivers will assess your skill and flair. It is down to you to drift as well as possible, but make a mistake and your score will be reduced.

At the end of the day, the top drivers will be rewarded with prizes – but everyone leaves with an improved driving ability and a huge smile.
