Spanish Trip to Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Valencia and Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya September 2015It is as busy as ever here in the BaT cave with the next big BookaTrack European adventure fast approaching. The week of 13th-18th September will see the team pack our bags once again, this time to head for Spain (and some sunshine, hopefully).
One week, two venues will comprise another spectacular event for us with one day at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia (Monday 14th), followed by two consecutive days at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, home of the Spanish Grand Prix (Wednesday 16th/ Thursday 17th September).
As with many of our European trips we have multiple features on offer to help make your experience as stress free and enjoyable as possible. We can assist by offering car transportation, a hotel package for 5 nights which includes two 3 course dinners at two 4 star hotels from as little as £595 for two people or £495 for one, transfers to and from the airport as well as the journey from Valencia to Barcelona on Tuesday, all of which can be booked via the online booking form.
We currently have ample space available for those wishing to bring their own car and for those wanting to try our Caterham car hire option. This opportunity to sample both the Valencia and Barcelona circuits is not to be missed, with this combined trip being a first for BookaTrack.
One of the most exciting features on offer with BookaTrack is the hire of our ever expanding fleet of cars. With 14 Caterhams aimed at different experience levels along with our Porsche GT3 to choose from there is something to suit everyone's taste.
Our fleet of Caterhams includes our Caterham Academy car, an ideal entry-level Caterham racer. Next we have a brace of R300 Caterhams, including the wider SV model. The R300 is definitely a favourite with our customers and the perfect way to experience a race track. This year we also introduced the more powerful 620R and 620R SV models to our fleet. Having sampled both the R300 and the 620R from the passenger seat on a number of occasions I can definitely say there is little that beats these machines when on track, as many of our customers will happily tell you.
The light, nimble nature of the Caterham will suit these circuits perfectly, especially Valencia. Infamous for its popularity with bike racers and fans alike, its vast mixture of fast, sweeping twists and turns are ideal for the Caterham. With similar acceleration speeds between the Caterham 620R and that of a motorbike, the Caterham is one of the most ideal cars to use on track here. In terms of power to weight ratio, an important aspect to consider on track, the Caterham suits these circuits better than some of the heavier cars.
The BaT team will be arriving in Spain on Sunday 13th September, with the first day on track lined up for Monday at Valencia. The schedule for Monday will take the form of our regular track days, with sign on, safety briefing and sighting laps kick starting the day before we run open pitlane.
Built in 1999, the 2.517 mile Circuit Ricardo Tormo is relatively new compared to many of our sport's venues. The circuit has hosted such events as Formula One testing, European Le Mans Series, World Touring Car Championship and the DTM, but it is well known for the MotoGP races that feature heavily every year.
Tuesday will be slightly more relaxing, as we hit the road to travel to Barcelona ready for back to back days around the spectacular Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Again, Wednesday and Thursday will follow our traditional track day format, with both days to run as open pitlane once again. At 2.892 miles in length, the popular circuit comprises long straights with a varied mixture of corners.
With two relatively different circuits on offer, you are guaranteed to enjoy spectacular track time whilst learning an exciting mixture of skills around two challenging circuits. As ever our team of instructors will be on hand all week to share their expertise.
