Job Vacancy - Office Administrator [FILLED]
We are looking for a highly motivated office administrator with experience of all aspects of a small business. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as is the ability to work under pressure and an ability to problem-solve. Based from our office at Donington Park, you will be reporting to the Directors but will not be managed on-site on a day-to-day basis, so self discipline when working alone is fundamental.
Additionally you may be required to help on some of our track days and this can involve travelling and occasional overnight stays.
The position is currently expected to require 2-3 days per week with the potential to become a full-time position within 12 months. Flexible hours will be considered and the position could suit someone looking for a term-time-only contract.
You may be required to work long days on occasions (7am to 7pm is not uncommon for a busy event) but for the most part the position is office-based during weekday working hours.
There is also a specific requirement to work full-time 9th-20th December 2013 and 6-10th January 2014.
Knowledge of the trackday industry is a distinct advantage but not essential. The position would ideally suit someone with motorsport experience and could be contracted rather than employed if preferred.
A proven ability in sales as well as experience of online marketing and/or social media would be a benefit. As BaT is primarily an online business, you must be computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office, email and ideally e-commerce.
For 13 years, the Directors have operated the company from a home-office but the business has now grown to a size where this is no longer practical. Thus far, all of the office admin tasks have been carried out by the Directors so the expectations in terms of quality of work is very high. Tasks include:-
▶ Answering the phones & emails (dealing with customer enquiries, bookings, cancellations)
▶ Pre-event preparations (printing, laminating, client correspondence)
▶ Updating the BookaTrack twitter & facebook pages, maintaining website content
▶ Collating, scanning, storing and backing-up workshop and event records
▶ Working with the workshop manager to maintain the company staff diary
